The Oak Bar
In olden times this would have been called a 'snug', it is a warm welcoming room with sofas and a settle as well as the traditional bar stools.
Local artists' work is on display, and you can usually find the local and national papers on the coffee tables. If they aren't available there is a small library of "dippable" books or ask for backgammon or a deck of cards.
The bar stocks real ales from Wadworth and Butcombe, and a selection of local ciders. Guinness is also on draft along with lagers from Carling and Kronenbourg. Wine is available by the glass and for the whisky connoisseur there is probably the best selection of single malts for miles around.
